Are you passionate about making a difference for older people?
Would you like to lead a project aiming to help end loneliness for people in later life? We have an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to achieving just that.
If successful you’ll take on a varied and interesting role, working for Community Action Network - an ambitious charity working across Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole to empower the voluntary sector, enable volunteering, and involve communities.
Our partners in this exciting project are Public Health Dorset, Prama, Faithworks Wessex, Bournemouth University and BCP Council, together we are working to support individuals and community groups in implementing schemes and initiatives to prevent and reduce loneliness locally and promote a good life for older people, along with promoting volunteering.
Based in our modern offices in Poole and out and about, you’ll be working with local communities to reduce and prevent loneliness, which builds on the strengths of individuals, their families and their community – supporting people to feel better connected. This may include some evening and weekend working.
