Lunch and Learn Series

We are excited to deliver an interesting series of webinars this year. The aim of these are to encourage groups and organisations to look at new approaches, discuss ideas and share learning.

With volunteer recruitment being a particular challenge, each webinar will look at volunteers who are under-represented in the voluntary sector. Depending on the theme, there may be a guest organisation who will offer their own insights, knowledge and expertise.

Webinars will take place virtually, over the lunch period for 30-45 minutes and we won't mind if you want to bring your lunch and turn off your camera.

Themes will include:

  • Volunteering with young onset dementia
  • Young carers wanting to volunteer
  • Volunteering benefits for refugees and asylum-seekers
  • Volunteer involvement of the over 50’s
  • Engaging young people as volunteers
  • Volunteers with sensory impairments
  • Supporting veterans into volunteering
  • Volunteers with learning disabilities

This is not an exhaustive list and will be added to throughout the series.

Why Come Along?

  • Keep up to date on current issues affecting the sector
  • Find out how to tailor volunteering offers to be more inclusive, which, in turn, attracts more volunteers
  • A chance to network with other groups and organisations
  • Reinforce and refresh your own knowledge
