Do we pay to receive help from the Volunteer Centre?

No, our core services are completely free. Your organisation can register with us to advterise your roles and directly communicate with volunteers - all for free! We also happily offer any advice and support on volunteer recruitment, management and retention. Some of our services we do charge for, such as producing ID badges or hiring our two-way radios, but if you have a chat with one of the team we can explain all our costings to you.

Is there a minimum size our organisation has to be to register?

Absolutely not! Some community groups are just run by a handful of volunteers, and all are welcome to use our services! You dont have to be a big national organisation, or even a registered charity - if you need or use volunteers, we can help.

We operate in different places across the country, can you still help?

As long as you operate within Dorset, we can support your organisation with volunteering. The only area of Dorset we don't cover is the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole area, but there is a volunteering service in this area that can help called Community Action Network.

We need help with funding, is this something you offer?

No, we cannot help you with sourcing funding or with any legal aspects of your organisation such as governance. However, we have extensive links with other charities and organisations that can help you with so we can point you in the right direction.
