The Big Help Out

This year, King Charles III will be using his coronation to shine a light on volunteering and the good work that we can all do.

The Big Help Out on 8th May is the national day of volunteering, and we will be using this platform as an opportunity to encourage, champion and celebrate all volunteering throughout the year.

We are asking the people of Dorset to make a pledge to volunteer.

Imagine, if every person aged 14+ in Dorset gave just one hour, we would have a contribution of 326,057 hours of help, skills and kindness to support our community.

So how can you get involved? Are you willing?

Volunteers

  1. Make a pledge to Help Out throughout the year - we want to reach 326,057 hours

  2. Participate in a Big Help Out volunteering activity or event on 8th May

  3. Have a look and sign up for a volunteering opportunity now

Organisations

  1. Register your Big Help Out volunteering opportunity or event with us

  2. Register your Big Help Out volunteering opportunity on The Big Help Out website

  3. Create a profile for your organisation and a volunteering role on our volunteering platform. We have recently had 1,500 new volunteers join us looking for roles in Dorset
