Induction Toolkit

It is important to support volunteers throughout their volunteering time with your group/organisation. A comprehensive induction process is a key starting point to this as it introduces a volunteer to your organisation and the role they are undertaking.

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has useful information on their website on running a volunteer induction.

Induction Videos

Volunteer Centre Dorset has put together five short training videos to assist with your induction process.

Volunteer Agreement

An agreement between a volunteer and their organisation can be a very helpful tool. It sets out what is expected from both the volunteer and organisation, including standards of conduct, communication, support etc. NCVO offers guidance on writing a volunteer agreement
