Lunch and Learn Series - Supporting students into volunteering

12th March 2024

Volunteer Centre Dorset are excited to be continuing our series of webinars this year. The aim of these are to support groups and organisations to consider new approaches, share knowledge and discuss ideas. With volunteer recruitment being a particular challenge, some of the webinars will look at volunteers who are under-represented in the voluntary sector.

In March we are lucky to be running two Lunch and Learn events, the first one will focus on Supporting students into volunteering. Students bring a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and fresh insight into volunteering, does your organisation offer opportunities which might appeal to them?

We welcome Gillian, Anson and Monta from Bournemouth University. Gillian will update us on the Student Union Volunteering Hub, which is a great way to promote your volunteering opportunities to students. Anson and Monta, as students themselves, will be sharing their first hand experiences as volunteers and discuss both the rewards and the challenges they have encountered. Gillian, Anson and Monta will also be answering any questions you might have,

Lunch and Learn webinars take place virtually, over the lunch period for 30-45 minutes and we won't mind if you want to bring your lunch and turn off your camera.
