Age Concern North Dorset has been around for over 60 years serving Sturminster Newton and district Starting life as ‘The Old Peoples Welfare Committee’ with day trips and lunches, the charity has certainly evolved and seen some changes. However, the goals and ideals have very much endured, and those are to support, and add value to the lives of the elderly people they serve.
Information and support services are offered at no charge, however, as an independent charity they e are reliant on successful fundraising bids to secure the funds we need to keep this much-loved charity running year after year. Every person has the chance to make a change for good - no matter how big or small.
Age Concern North Dorset are a small charity with only 2 part-time members of staff. They are looking for someone to join them as a Volunteer Treasurer. They are looking for someone with Payroll experience, who can handle cash receipts and invoice payments, as well as the monitoring of unrestricted and restricted funding. This would be approximately 2 days per month working from home and also attending quarterly Board Meetings.
