Promoting your Organisation through Local Radio

Dorset Coast Radio, in partnership with Volunteer Centre Dorset and Community Action Network, is keen to understand the challenges facing our voluntary and community sector when trying to promote their services, work with the media and share their stories with a local and national audience.

This feedback will directly inform a funding bid and help shape a new initiative that is designed to

• Offer free airtime for groups to share stories, events, and awareness‑raising

• Co‑create interviews and podcasts that reflect your work and values

• Provide free training in interview preparation and media confidence

• Support campaigns with on‑air adverts and promotional development

• Strengthen community connections through shared storytelling
