Charities Aid Foundation are excited to share their new UK Local Giving Report 2026, which explores how giving varies across the country and what this means for charities, donors and policymakers. 

The findings come at a time when overall giving remains under pressure. In 2025, people donated an average of 0.9% of their income, down from 1.1% in 2024, continuing a longer‑term decline.  

At the same time, the research highlights a clear pattern: place matters. The connections people feel to where they live and belong are closely linked to how and where they give.
