Share

3rd February 2022

Volunteer Centre Dorset are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Charity Excellence Framework Quality Mark. The Quality Mark  assessment covers every area of activity: promoting good governance, effective strategy, leading and managing people well, effective delivery of operations, efficient use of finance and resources, maximising income generation, and effective communications.

The system also assesses key crisis health check indicators, including maximising impact, short-term resilience, longer-term sustainability, how good you are at getting funding to front line activities, legal & compliance and how well everyone is kept safe from harm.

Volunteer Centre Dorset achieved an exceptional score, with the majority of our work achieving higher than the sector average.

CEO of the Volunteer Centre, Marie Waterman said 'We are thrilled to have done so well in this assessment. This award highlights the fantasitc quality of all of our work and the effort that the staff and trustees have gone to.'

She added; 'We would encourage other charitable organisations to go through the Charity's Excellence Framework and achieve this mark. Not only will it show your stakeholders and funders that you are an effective and well run organisation, but it can also show your staff and volunteers that your organisation is passionate about the development and success of your organisation'.

If you would like to speak to the Volunteer Centre about how you can achieve the Quality Mark, give us a call on 01305 269214 or email [email protected]
