We have a couple of opportunities for funding currently, also any donations towards the Surviving Winter Appeal would be greatly appreciated see below for more information.

 

Wessex Water Community Fund
Closing - noon on 13th February

We are very pleased to be working together with Wessex Water through the newly established Wessex Water Community Fund. The fund will award grants to organisations supporting community cohesion.

Funding is available of up to £1,500 for groups working in Dorset to build cohesion and bring communities together. Priority will be given to applications from groups working in areas of financial deprivation or rural isolation and/or working to raise awareness of drinking water for healthy living or water saving.

All projects including environmental ones must address community cohesion.

Lord-Lieutenant's Fund for Young and Talented
Opening soon - 11th February

The fund will soon re-open for applications with grants of up to £1,000 available for local young people (14-21) with an exceptional sporting talent.

Support will cover the cost of: kit/clothing costs, competition fees, coaching, travel costs and accommodation (not an exhaustive list). Applicants must have an exceptional sporting talent which has been recognised or acknowledged.
Previous successful applicants include sailor Sam Whaley and swimmers Jasmine McCrea and Jacob Peters.

Surviving Winter Appeal Raises over £35K

We are very pleased to announce that since the launch of the Appeal just over two months ago we have raised an amazing £35K, most of which have already been dispersed as grants to vulnerable older people in need. We are still appealing for donations from people who receive unwanted winter fuel allowances, to make a donation, please click here.
