The project which will  start in 2019  aims to develop and grow a Community Allotment in the local area

The aims will be to encourage individuals and groups to join in with the allotment to get ‘out and healthy and  learn and growing and nurturing and no cost.

We appreciate allotments take a lot of  time and commitment for individuals,  therefore if we can encourage participation without too much commitment all can enjoy this type of gardening.  All produce can be taken away or any surplus will be given to those on low incomes, refuges food banks  generally vulnerable groups in need.

Supervision may be provided on a weekly basis for those wanting to learn so all can develop, as well as the plants!!

The venue for 2019 is yet to be confirmed however will be in the Weymouth or Dorchester area.

As an added part of the Scheme we will be providing a short  series of cookery workshops  up to 6 max for those wanting to learning about using fresh food items (including those from our allotment ) in our recipes.  We would like carers, especially young carers to have the opportunity to be part of the project

FOR MORE DETAILS GET IN TOUCH IN JANUARY 2019

Tesco’s ‘bags of help’ are supporting the project. Therefore the final plans will be dependent on funding .

If you feel this is a worthy worthwhile cause please vote for us in local Tesco stores.
