Operation Christmas Child - 1st - 18th November

Share

29th October 2018

Operation Christmas Child is a scheme run by Samaritans Purse, a Christian Charity. They need your help to put together shoeboxes filled with gifts for children living in poverty all over the world.

Simply get an empty medium sized shoebox and wrap it in wrapping paper. You can then decide whether you would like to pack a box for a boy or a girl, and pick an age range for the recipient. We have labels available here in the Volunteer Centre, or you can download them from the Samaritans Purse website (link below). Fill your shoe box with suitable gifts - there is a gift guide on their website as well as what not to include. A suggested donation of £5 may also kindly be included which covers shipping and collection costs as well as being donated to churches to buy project materials.

Then simply secure the box with an elastic band and drop it into us before 18th November.

We have leaflets and box labels here in the centre so feel free to pop by and enquire about this great cause.

All the information and gift guides can be found on the Samaritans Purse website:
