Volunteer posties - Dorchester and West Dorset District Scouts

During the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas we have the Annual Christmas Scout Post, which is in its 31st year in Dorchester and 5th in Bridport and Beaminster. It is a bona- fide charity event, done nationwide, which raises funds for the local Scout District. People post their Christmas Cards in special yellow Scout postboxes with a 'donation' at various places in Dorchester and West Dorset, which are then emptied on a daily basis by Scouting personnel, and then distributed to 'posties' who in turn, deliver to local streets/houses.

We are looking for some more volunteer 'posties', who would be prepared to deliver cards to particular streets. This would be done 2 or 3 times a week in the 2 week period. The Cards would be taken to the 'Posties,' and then they would deliver the cards to a particular area.
There may also be vacancies for people to sort the post into different roads/areas at specific sorting areas.
