Projects To Get Involved In
First Aid Courses Available for 2010
The first volunteer first aid course of 2010 will be on 26th January in Wareham at the Town Hall. The course is called 'Emergency First Aid at Work' It will be provided by Ouch! and organised by the Volunteer Centre. Places are limited. Volunteers are accepted for free with a £10 deposit returnable on the day. Staff pay £30, (£10 deposit as above).
The second first aid course will follow the same format as above and will be hailed at the Pavilion in Bridport, part of the Leisure Centre, 17th February 2010. |
2012 Games Projects
Train Of Events Programme
As part of Volunteerings support of the 2012 games The Volunteer Centre Dorset is looking to train ‘Event Stewards’ and are therefore providing free training for up to 50 volunteer. Click the link below for further details. |
Event Stewarding List '09 Now Online!
If you were wondering what events you could get involved with this summer, you can download our 'Events List' for 2009 from our 'Train of Events' page here or from our 'Dowloadable Information' page. You can also find a 'Event Record Sheet' there to log your attendance at events.
Of course this does not include all of the many events that will be taking place in Dorset this year, therefore fill free to make us aware of an event you fill may need volunteer stewards.
Working With Ex Offenders
Could you organisation support and use ex-offenders?
We are starting a joint project working with ex offenders and placing them with supportive organisations and are looking for organisations that may be interested in finding out more about this subject.
