The Town Mill in Lyme Regis are looking for volunteers

Share

The Town Mill in Lyme Regis are looking for help in their shop and with stock. Situated in the heart of Lyme Regis this is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and to be a part of a friendly, welcoming team of volunteers who give their time to keep the historic Watermill open and running!

The Town Mill is a unique watermill, run by a charitable trust and is still milling and producing Rye, Wheat and Spelt flour which is milled on site by volunteer Millers. The flour is sold in their lovely on-site shop, along with a selection of baking kits and gifts (all proceeds go back to keeping the Mill open).

Volunteer activities are varied and can include:
* Opening and closing of The Town Mill shop
* Welcoming visitors in to the Mill
* Talking to visitors about the history of The Mill
* Assisting customers with their flour and gift purchases
* Weighing their milled flour into bags for the shop
* Making up gift packs and baking kits
* Keeping the shop shelves stocked

The Town Mill tries to open every day when they can and you can choose days and times to suit you. The time you can give can be very flexible.

They are looking for volunteers to help for all days, especially during the afternoon and at weekends currently.

No experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm! They will provide full training and their experienced volunteers will be on hand at all times while you are learning. There are opportunities to get involved in other areas at The Town Mill if you would like to learn more.
