IVS GB - International Voluntary Service promotes peace and intercultural understanding while supporting the sustainable development of UK and global communities through volunteering. By taking part in an IVS project you will have the skills to be a catalyst for change, help break down preudices and build a world of peace and cooperation.
Volunteering projects can be short-term (2-4 weeks) or long-term (3-12 months). The projects are for all ages and all backgrounds. Criteria is based on enthusiasm, not qualifications. The work includes social, environment, conservation, arts, youth work, festivals, disadvantaged groups, sport, peace and social justice, interfaith and archaeology.
Short-term projects abroad can cost £150 (students and unwaged) and £195 (waged).
Food and accomodation is included. You pay for your own travel.
