Have you heard that Weymouth Library now offers Shared Reading sessions?
The sessions run from 10.30am-12.00pm every Monday.
Shared Reading is a gentle and non-demanding activity, the group leader reads a short piece of text, it might be a paragraph from a book or a poem and then the group discuss the text over a cup of tea or coffee.
Shared Reading sessions are run by volunteers which builds their skills and confidence, empowering them to take an active role in a positive community activity. People attending a Shared Reading Group will gain improved self-confidence and build social networks, promoting a holistic and effective approach to wellbeing.
