Volunteer Centre Dorset - Garden Help Scheme Drivers

We are looking for volunteer drivers to help with our Garden Help Scheme.
This scheme helps to assist the elderly and disabled with basic gardening needs such as hedge trimming, grass cutting and pruning. It was founded some years ago.
As part of a small team in group 1, the driver would oversee the work of the team providing support and guidance for the other two team members. The team visits gardens around the surrounding area three times a week but the driver can choose which day is convenient.
Group 2 works independently and regularly on their own with a small group of clients.
The schemes are very rewarding for all parties involved. Petrol and out of pocket expenses are paid for, training is also provided including health and safety, first aid at work and equipment specific courses.
